Most recently, I served as CEO and Chief Product Owner at Scrum@Scale LLC, — a joint venture between Scrum Alliance and Scrum Inc. In our second year of operation, we were proud to have more than 100 trainers, and 4,000 practitioners across the globe. Prior to Scrum@Scale, I served as Managing Director of Scrum Alliance, and together, with a team of passionate professionals, we turned the organization from surviving, to thriving, and grew the community by more than 150%, serving more than 400,000 members. As VP of Community at Scaled Agile, my team and I delivered a platform that allowed the community to grow by more than 12,000 new members per month, serving more than 300,000 members and achieved an NPS of 55.
Before joining the agile community, I started my career in Information Technology. ‘How to Play. And Achieve Your Business Goals’
Yuen Yen has worked 10+ years for the national government of The Netherlands, while holding creative positions as serious game consultant. Designing and implementing digital games to support learning journeys.
Having applied games and play in an Arabic-speaking working context with judges and directors from the Middle East and Northern Africa has convinced her of the universal, innate language of play. And motivated her to continue her own explorative journey.
Working as design thinking facilitator once again she approaches ‘play and working professionals’ with a beginner’s mind. Again. And this time exploring the fuzzy association between play and leadership.
You can find her with WednesdayWebJam on … Wednesdays ;-). In this living lab for designers, innovators and changemakers – all hungry learners from the world – real time online experiments are executed in a safe space. Experiments with new apps and technologies, experiments with creative interactions and – last but not least – experiments that have an uncomfortable edge. Those are necessary to learn and find our way in this extraordinary era of online life.

A (online) corporate well-being adviser, facilitator & presenter, creating employee resiliency skills to build 'staying power’
As a transformer for thriving people and (work)spaces, I’ve learned that happiness@work (a.k.a. work pleasure) is not an oxymoron! It’s essential to help your employees become the best version of themselves. It’s not a state of ‘jumping for joy’; it’s the sum total of 4 pillars called PERK: Purpose, Engagement, Resilience, and Kindness.
I am certified as: Stress Counselor | Happiness @ Work Coach | Foundations of Positive Psychology, Univ. of Penn |Science of Well-being, Yale Univ. | Skogsfloating Trainer | Sleep coach | NLP Master Practitioner | HeartMath Resiliency Coach. All add to my mastery of the skills and knowledge needed to thrive.
My early career, with a specialty in cardiovascular diagnostics as a Military Nursing Officer in the Canadian Armed Forces, has further supported me.
In addition, I have spent 6 years on the PWN (Professional Women’s Network) Netherlands Board and have been a member for 11 years. DEI is especially important to me.
My Belief? With the proper knowledge & tools, we all can improve our resiliency to what life brings onto our path AND thrive in life.
My Goals? Creating waves of personal well-being awareness, so that the individual within an organization makes the right choices for themselves. Ensuring that inclusive leadership occurs in my life-time! Sometimes a ripple can have far-reaching effects.
My Values and Character Strengths? resilient (of course!); dependable; perseverance; honesty; humor; love of learning; curiousity; equality; grateful
#livingfrommyheart (while being navigated by my brain!)

eduScrum Russia leading coach; eduScrum International team member; Game mathematics teacher
I believe that Agile approaches can change modern education and turn it into the ‘education of a future' where people and interaction are more important than marks and formal reports and everyone can be the co-creator of his or her own learning process. And I was inspired with eduScrum and his author, Willy Wijnands to bring the idea to our country. Since the year 2018 I'm training the teachers and trainers in Russia to use the modern approaches in their practice. And I support and develop the open community of eduScrum practitioners to share their experience, to learn new practices together and to be connected to each other.
