Akemi started her career in Technology 30 years ago – fresh out of art school, wearing vinyl combat boots and knowing nothing about computers. From there, she learnt to build servers, install networks and developed expertise in software testing.

Her agile journey started as a line manager who desperately needed to upskill her staff of manual testers to be able to function on agile development teams.

As an agile transformation consultant for Infosys Consulting, she approaches agile transformation as a capability building exercise and her role as a guide rather than a coach.

Having lived and worked in many different countries, she believes in the power of diversity and is passionate about helping Technology leaders harness the power of diverse workforces. She has recently moved from London to Rotterdam.
