We are looking forward to seeing you as speaker at the Women in Agile Europe 2026 conference in BARCELONA on Friday 27 November.
We are happy to host this year’s conference in-person again!
Diverse voices lead to stronger conversations, better ideas, and more impactful conferences. While we’ve made progress in increasing gender diversity on Agile conference stages, we’re not there yet—we still have work to do!
That’s why our theme for this year is:
We are looking for inspiring talks, hands-on sessions, and fresh perspectives that reflect this theme.
For agile practitioners, it's about creating environments where people and teams flourish rather than forcing outcomes.
For women in agile, it speaks to professional growth and visibility — stepping into the light.
Build: The hands-on, craft side of agile. We're makers, not just talkers. Building products, building teams, building each other up.
It grounds the theme in practical action — this isn't just inspirational talk, it's about doing the work.
Belong The heart of a community conference. Women in Agile exists because belonging matters. It's about psychological safety,
inclusion, and finding your people. Also a nod to the warmth of Spanish culture — hospitality, openness, coming together around a table.
Sessions could map to tracks:
Bloom (personal growth, career, leadership), Build (practices, tools, delivery), Belong (culture, inclusion, community).

The information on this page is to help you submit your proposal for a workshop or presentation.
Follow the suggested format to maximize chances of your proposal to be selected.
We suggest starting at ‘Learning outcomes’ and then fill in the rest of the fields.
Title (obligatory field)
Start with a title that is meaningful to the topic. This is your first opportunity to grab attention; it is the headline of your session. Many people attend sessions based on the title alone.
Please add the status in front of your title:
DRAFT – still working on it
FEEDBACK REQUESTED – comments to improve your submission are welcome
FINAL – you are done, the proposal is ready for review for acceptance for the conference
Abstract (obligatory field)
The abstract is the marketing for your session, thus it should be designed to appeal to a diverse group of people that would like to attend. The abstract should have a maximum of 500-700 words.
Make sure to add how your talk/workshop relates to our theme ‘Bloom, build, belong’.
Bloom: Growth that happens naturally when conditions are right. Think of Spain in November: even late in the year, there’s warmth and color. For agile practitioners, it’s about creating environments where people and teams flourish rather than forcing outcomes. For women in agile, it speaks to professional growth and visibility — stepping into the light.
Build: The hands-on, craft side of agile. We’re makers, not just talkers. Building products, building teams, building each other up. It grounds the theme in practical action — this isn’t just inspirational talk, it’s about doing the work.
Belong: The heart of a community conference. Women in Agile exists because belonging matters. It’s about psychological safety inclusion, and finding your people. Also a nod to the warmth of Spanish culture — hospitality, openness, coming together around a table.

Consider having a strong close (call to action) to the abstract to re-engage the reader. Finally, less is more. Consider removing text that does not add to the above.
If you struggle with explaining your talk in writing, you can submit a link to a video in which you talk about your chosen topic instead. Please keep it at a maximum of 3 minutes. If you get selected, we will help you to create a fitting abstract.
Information for Organizers (optional field)
This part of the submission form is used to provide details that will help the reviewers and organizers to better understand your session.
These details will not be published in the online schedule, so you don’t need to be formal in your language or writing style.
Is this a workshop? Lecture? Interactive session? How do you want to plan it?
Please add if / what technologies you’ll be using in the session (e.g., how many microphones you’ll need; will you need a screen, whiteboard, or anything else).
Also, clarify if you would need any support during the talk from our side. If so, what kind? Let us know if you’ll have extra people helping you out. All this is needed so that together we can ensure that your talk is amazing!
Learning Outcomes (obligatory field)
You might want to start here. Get your learning outcomes clear first, and then write your abstract.
Learning outcomes are a couple of clear takeaways that the attendees will gain after attending your session.
Consider using Action + Concept/Skill wording for your learning objectives. Think words like “demonstrate, show, apply, create, explain, list, describe…”.

Presentation History (optional field)
Tell us more about your story! Are you a seasoned speaker, or are you new to presenting? We welcome all types of speakers, from total newbies to experienced speakers. We are inclusive and we want to have a lineup with a mix of skills.
Providing a link to a video of you presenting a topic or pitching your session is highly encouraged as it would give the reviewers a sense of your style.
Please also mention if you’ve given this talk before (and where) or if it’s the first time you’ll be presenting it.
